I posted a couple of messages... one regarding merging my latest stable version with wherever you guys are up to and the other with my Google Code User email... then I went to Oz for a month.

Yeah, what I said and then deleted was that we really need to move to something other than phpBB as the forum software. This stuff is too flaky. (People are constantly complaining they're not getting e-mail alerts, and the search / new posts function breaks periodically.)

But maybe those are the messages supercoe is talking about, and nothing was lost; it's not my concern, which is why I censored my earlier post...

Well, I hope you two crazy kids get in touch somehow.

I can't wait for Oliver to switch us to PHPBB3 but there is a lot of work to do there. Can't say that I've ever had a problem with the forum besides search going down.

Reportedly the mail feature hardly works at all; JDaus is notably affected by this. (Does it have to be phpBB going forward? Surely there's a better choice?)

phpBB3 is a big leap from v2, Oliver apparently has a lot of mods on this forum to give it v3 like features. Maybe that is what causes the problems?

Could also be server load, I can't wait for the new server to get up and running, it's a fast one.

ps. I'd also like to say that I think InnoSetup (+ InnoTool) is a better installer than InstallJammer. Its ability to allow custom Pascal scripts makes it far more powerful. (try downloading and installing the vuShield beta and see it create a firewall rule using some Pascal code in the installer script)

anyway, from my perspective, you guys are all on the other side of things, and all upside down / back-to-front

perhaps it was supercoe sabotaging my scprompt thread ... but several people have reported not getting notifications on that thread ... i have no issues getting notifications on other threads ... just that one ... it sounds more like sabotage when i say it out loud ... LOL

Actually, I'm on the east coast of the US, so supercoe just exists inside MY computer. Which might explain a few things.
