If you look through these forums, this is a known issue.

I however, use the linux reapeater many times a day with no problems at all.

2003 server 64bit or 32bit?

You could try installing the repeater as a service via command line -install
Set the service to automatically restart if it crashes.

Some users have reported that the repeater is less stable as a service while others have stated it works just fine.

My repeater will crash sometimes (XP pro sp3 32bit) if I leave clients connected for a long time after installing as a service on their computer...

Interesting you should say that. After having been using Chunk for weeks without ever getting kicked out of a session, I had the repeater crash a couple of times while I was working and did notice there was a user who was connecting often as it was installed as a service. I now have another 2 computers I've left connected so will see if it keeps crashing often over the next few days.

I don't know if it helps any, but just thought I'd add my 2 cents

repeater can crash if port of repeater is used by third party software.

example: if you use port 443, you could crash repeater with conflict skype.

The only ports I have in settings are 5901 and 5500. I also have Enable Mode II enabled.

Would it be of any use to anyone if I attached the crash dumps that it tries to send to MS?

check if you won't have any vnc use this 2 ports !
if vncviewer is listen on port 5500 this could crash the repeater if both are up and running on same computer.
