Hi,
I've got a question. My iphone is unable to connect to my computer over VNC serve. When a run conectivity test it says: Your server appears to be behind a NAT router with IP address 94.112.238.40. You will need to configure that router to forward port 5900 to this computer before you will be able to connect to your server over the Internet. Any idea hwat should I do? Thanks lot, sorry if somebody asked before me.

Re: VNC NAT configuration
the first thing I would do is move your public ip address... this is not needed, and invites trouble.vojtasks wrote:I've got a question... When a run conectivity test it says: Your server appears to be behind a NAT router with IP address 94.x.x.40.
secondly, I would recommend as a minimum, changing the default port to something obscure. You will need to configure that router to forward port 5900 to this computer before you will be able to connect to your server over the Internet.
next, make sure you understand the security implications of doing this, as you pc and every pc connected to your computer can be easily compromised by opening a non encrypted vnc to the internet.
if you understand all the above, then do a inet search for "port forward" and your router make and model, and you will find a plethora of tutorials.
