guys i need help please

i am using belkin router for broadband, i have a laptop with winxp media edtion and my friend laptop has win vista home, I have installed ultravnc on my frd's laptop with password so when i try to connect to his laptop it will not accept the password which i set on the machine but will accept the pass 123 always which is very strange, also i have double checked that "Disable viewer inputs" is not checked in server and "view only" is not selected in viewer so when i connect with 123 it only shows the desktop and will not let me input any thing. i have already tried to unistalled and reinstalled uvnc.

any advise will be appreciated.

only experienced user, not developer
