Closing VNC.

Post by Derick »

I just upgraded from v 102 to 1.0.8.2.

Sometimes when I'm doing some "heavy lifting" with my computer I'll usually close Outlook, VNC, etc. Well, I've noticed when I right click on the "little eye" in my tray and select "close VNC connections" the eye will dissappear for a few second and then just reappear. I've also noticed that in the Task Manager I'll sometimes have two winvnc.exe's going. One usually running about 4.5k and the other about 2.5k. Only after I end both process will it stop opening again.

I didn't have this problem with v102. What's the extra winvnc.exe that is running?

I tihnk I've figured it out.

The one one winvnc.exe is the "service". And as long as the service is running I can't close VNC.

close vnc connection is not mean close the winvnc service, it just close connections and restart winvnc service.

you can close winvnc, you need right click on winvnc systray and stop service.
