Black screen issue with UVNC 1.0.8 on Windows XP

I have found a lot of postings with this issue but haven't found any solution. Can someone point me to the solution?

I install UltraVNC Viewer 1.0.8.0 on Windows XP. I am able to connect to the my server' but after a while there is no activity, I see the black screen and then I am unable to do anything with the mouse.

I asked someone to hit the space bar on the server. As soon as that was done, the UVNC showed my server window, but after a few minutes of inactivity, I got the black screen again.


On the UVNC Viewer I have checked:
Poll Full Screen
SYstem HookDll
Low Accuracy

In ultravnc.ini I changed kickrdp from 0 to 1.

stop uvnc_service
replace the old winvnc with the new one
and use ultravnc 1.0.8.2

edit ultravnc.ini
kickrdp=0
clearconsole=0

it should solve your issue
restart uvnc_service or restart windows and retry vncviewer connect to host
