I've been asked by a training vendor to install Version 1.0.5.3. My OS is Windows 7.
Will this version function on the Windows 7 OS?
If so, must I download the Vista addons during installation?
Thank you.

Re: Version 1.0.5.3 and Windows 7
I had no prior knowledge about UltraVNC. My need to connect to the vendor was nearly immediate. Support from the vendor was only available from an existing text document; not phone. The document was specific about the version. Accordingly, I sought to employ that version and that version alone.redge wrote:why not install the ultravnc 1.0.8.1 and still free and open source more stable and less buggy on win7 ?
Thank you. I did so and it functioned sufficiently to satisfy my need but it was a bit slow.redge wrote:yes, you need vista add for use with ultravnc server on win7
