(solved) Windows 7 gadgets not showing on server machine

Post by gpgp00 »

I am unable to see gadgets that are on a Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit desktop using UltraVNC 1.0.6.5 server.

I am new to using uVNC, so don't have experience with this on Vista. I played around with some of the miscellaneous server settings some (remove aero, remove wallpaper, etc.), and some of the updates handling parameters (system hookdll, but not video hook driver - I couldn’t get that to work) but was unable to find anything that allows me to see any of the gadgets.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I found that enabling "Capture Alpha-Blending" on the server property page is now showing the gadgets remotely as desired.

This is after I reinstalled Windows 7 64-bit and installed uVNC 1.0.8.0. I suspect that this would also work in the 32-bit environment, but i don't think I probably ever tried that particular setting before.

The HTTP Java client looks good also!
