Ultra VNC and VMWare Workstation/Windows7

Post by JDMils »

I have Windows7 running as a guest on VMWare Workstation V6.5. There are options on the guest machine which state that you can VNC to the guest using port 5900.

Has anyone tested this with UltraVNC?

Hello.
I have vmware server running on my XP64 host.
The VM running is Win7 RTM x64 Ultimate.

I set the ports to different numbers, and enable loop back.

Obviously the client OS and HOST have different IP too.

This works fine for me. I can then use VNC "locally" on the machine (or the VM Client), and can use VNC remote from my home as well.
