slow on vista

Post by groknet »

Hi
I have installed UltraVNC in my lan
and it works very fine except when i use it
TO the vista computer i have.

All other comps are winxp, using them remote
with ultravnc is very fast but when i use it to
the computer with Vista installed there is an annoying
delay - about 2 to 3 secs.

Can that be fixed?

Greetings grok sweden

Make sure Aero is disabled or use the mirror driver.

I don't want to steal any heat away from uVNC but on LAN I prefer to use TightVNC:

with the DFMirage mirror driver:

This combo works awesome for me on Vista

Just a note from the developer:

The DFMirage package was recently updated to include support for all newest Windows 7 / 2008 R2 64-bit platforms. So it works really well on all Windows versions now.
