Problem using SC with SSH tunnel

Post by sorenmalling »

Hi,

I've created a SSH tunnel and from that I'm using "localhost" as host in helpdesk.txt, in order to connect to the computer from a VNC Viewer.

My problem is, that the I can't connect to the server "generated" by SC with SSH Tunnels, but if i install a VNC Server I can connect without any problem.

Is there anything with SC that makes it impossible to use SSH Tunnels to connect through?

Regards,

Sean,

nope, IMHO SC should work with SSH tunnels.

here is what i recommend.

configure the tunnels first, and test it manually, so you understand how the connection is initiated, etc.

then switch to SC. if you have specific questions post back and i will try n help.

another thing is that VNC server has an option to 'accept connections to localhost', clearly if your using an ssh tunnel you need to enable that setting to make it work.

make sense?
