Single Port - 80 for Viewer??

Post by solentive »

Hi

We have a need to supply an external viewer to connect to our consultants desktops to watch a presentation.

We want to make this as simple as possible for the end user. Simply put if they can download an exe and run it without install, or run in a browser - we are happy. The caveat is it must run as a viewer via a single port (pref Port 80) as the end-users will have a myriad of configurations to deal with and there is no point if they have to punch holes in their own firewalls (support nightmare)!!

What is the best solution for this? From the items I am reading (SingleClick, PCHelpWare, Nat 2 Nat etc.) seem to be geared towards taking control of the customers PC. We want the reverse, but more that the customer can watch, rather than control.

All help appreciated!
