Utilize domain tather than IP for connection.

Post by mabarnes11 »

Is there any way to code the helpdesk.txt file HOST section to a domain name versus an IP address. We have a problem in that the IP address of the host changes sooner that we like. It would be much easier to where the domain points to rather than change the helpdesk file and recompile it. If that is not possible any suggestions.

Thanks,
Marvin

Yes, you can use domain/host name instead of IP, like these statements inside helpdesk.txt:

Code: Select all

[Host]
Internet Remote Support
-connect YY_Support.com:5500 -noregistry
