Can no longer resolve hostnames inside LAN?

Post by jksmurf »

I used to be able to enter a hostname e.g. "smurfpc" and it would resolve to the IP (192.168.1.10) WITHIN my LAN, to connect UVNC.

I have no idea what I have done, but I can no longer do this. UVNC still connects just fine using the IP 192.168.1.10, but I find hostnames easier.

ipconfig /all output below. Any suggestions to troubleshoot this?

Ta!

resolving hostnames is a dns issue. Did you change routers or change DNS servers??

No, but I did update the router f/w a while back. I guess it could be that?
