HTTP Interface

Post by Aussie Guy »

Is this possible:

I run uvnc server at home, it listens on port 80 for (a very specific subset of) http GET. All other activity is discarded.

At work I run the client on the far side of a firewall that is stricter than certain former communist dictators.

The client requests connection and sends mouse/keyboard via plaintext coded http GET requests.

The server sends back screen changes as if it were web data sent from a web server (which it sort of / kind of is ...)

It would be sweet! The whole point is that no special configuration, no port knowledge, no repeater program or dmz machines is necessary to enable the clueless masses (like myself) the do the very common point to point task even though there is a bloody firewall in the way.

Cheers, Mate!
