Changing IP address

Post by AgWorks »

I am having a little trouble understanding Ultra VNC. I need to change the IP address of the Ultra Server is that possible at all in the setting or is what it assigns what you get.

Thank you in advance for the response.

The IP address of the UVNC server is the IP address of the computer that it is running on.

If you want to change the IP address of the server, you have to change the IP address of the machine.

If you are using a cable/dsl modem without a router, you probably cannot change the IP address of your computer.

If you go thru a router, you can set a static IP on the VNC server which will make it easier to connect to it because you will always know the IP address.
