VNC: 1 Presenter to 100 Attendees ? Multicast?

Post by shawn »

Hi:

I believe that UltraVNC works in unicast.
On a server with a very igh bandwidth, could it support 100 viewers and more?
What are the recommendations? To use the repeater? Some type of Multicast?

Thanks,
Shawn

well, i would say that with high enough bandwidth, it would be ok. Unless the program has some built-in limit to limit how many people can connect. I dont know of any, but there might be some.

The repeater doesnt do what your thinking. It lets people from the outside, connect to one computer and then that 'repeater' sends them to another computer.

I havent heard of any multicasting function for uvnc.
using latest code.... always... except when im not.
