Qt4 Port

Post by djtm »

Hi,

I saw that you use Borland C++ as the programming environment at the moment.

Qt has a much better portability and would not only Linux users use ultravnc, but also Mac OS X users and of course it would work in Windows as well. And it should be *much* easier to port to embedded systems as well.

From my experience the qt api is mostly quite straight forward.
And it would enable developers from other platforms to join the programming work.

IMHO Ultravnc is currently the best VNC software. The only thing it really lacks is cross-platform compatibility.
