SC does not work, no open Ports found!

Post by landeshauptstadt »

Hi,
i've tried to get SC run on my Server System without any success.
The normal UltraVNC does work very well, but when i start the SC, my viewer PC didn't find the Host in the same network :(.
After making a port scan i found out that the normal UltraVNC Serversoftware opens 2 ports, 5500 and 5800.
The SC doesn't open any port :( :(
Any suggestions to solve this stupid problem?
Greets,

SC do an outgoing connection on port TCP 5500 like can do winvnc (nor incoming)
reverse connection = server initiate connection to vncviewer listening

server listen 5800 is only incoming port TCP
server listen on port 5900 is only incoming port TCP (viewer outgoing port 5900)

vncviewer must in listen mode if there no repeater otherwise, vncviewer unable to receive connection from server aka SC
vncviewer -listen 5500

there a mistake at your side, sorry.

Thank you, redge, for your quick answer.
No i understand, that i need a listen viewer on port 5500.
So, do you know if there is a possibilty to change port from 5500 to port 80 in repeater mode?
I tried it out a few times but without any results :(.
best regards,

without repeater, direct reverse connection
server connect to your viewer on port 80
open port 80 on the router of your vncviewer.

vncviewer -listen 80

[HOST]
-connect hostname.domain.com::80

::port (any port outside of standard port need double colons)

vncviewer must listening before SC started
for test if port 5500 is open, vncviewer -listen 5500 must be started before start test port otherwise port is considered closed.
