HelpBeam Remote Support - Beta Testing

Post by helpbeam »

Hello everyone.

I'm starting beta testing on a remote support service called HelpBeam. Please see: http://www.helpbeam.com

The goal is to make it as easy as possible for a remote support representative to get connected to a customer's computer.
The support rep simply gives the customer a 12 digit code to enter at the HelpBeam web site to get connected.

<From the HelpBeam Website>
The HelpBeam service allows a company's technical support team to quickly solve their clients' computer problems by remotely accessing the customer's computer desktop.
The support rep can then troubleshoot the computer as if he/she were there with the customer.

There are no issues with NAT or firewalls because both the support rep and customer connect to the HelpBeam servers.

Some features are:
-Simple, Web based application
-128 bit end to end encryption
-File Transfer
-Clipboard transfer
-No installation necessary for the customer or support representative
-No need for ActiveX controls or Java apps
-Web based application
-Firewall friendly
-Easy to use

The customer and support rep software are both based on the TightVnc code and are therefore GPL.
The server portion is a separate application and is not under the GPL license.

It's in first stage beta testing right now so I'm looking for a some testers if anyone is interested.
