need a tutorial or step-by-step

Post by vosssylt »

Hello community ... and sorry community

maybe the reason ist my poor english but I don't get PCHW to work
Please be so kind an take 1-2 minutes to read this before you "hate" me
I user the forum search and I used the tutorials but I don't get my problems solved.

My given situation

- I need a customer service tool to access computer by the internet
- I'm sitting behind a router
- My clients / servers will mostly altough sit behind a router
- I want to access the servers from my local workstation AND from a mobile compzter
- I'd like to have a nice GUI like the login screen from PCHW-server.exe

What I hade allready done

- make a portforewarding from the Ports 5500 to the PC System where my repeater runs
- Set my repeater to mode 1 + mode 2 | Ports 5901 + 5500
- Build a Server with the following values -> Content of the created helptext.txt
"-connect xxxxxxxx.dyndns.org:5500 -id ask -proxy -passwd F5BDE2DFDB327C562F9ECD32F3139AA1"
I used the follwing ports Listen Port Viewer 5901 and List Port Server 5500

My Questions are now

- Where to add more host's
PcHelpWare_rel10\PcHelpWare\create_server\custom\helptext.txt <OR>
PcHelpWare_rel10\PcHelpWare\server_res\helptext.txt <OR>
PcHelpWare_rel10\PcHelpWare\create_server\server\helptext.txt

- Where to add the background image for the "host-selection-box"
- Where to add the background image for teh "Enter-id-box"

Notice: At the Moment we are using a singleclick.exe to manage tzhe support but the staff member who created it is'nt any more in our company ... so we / I have to redesign it.

Thank you very much

This may be what you are looking for.

If you want the same multple connection options of SC you need to download the PChelpware serverbin (GuiSC) from the PChelpware-Download page. The package will contain several folders and files.

Instead of creating a server from the PCHelpware viewer you use create.bat in this package. You can use the helpdesk.txt file from SC and if you have created a logo in SC you can use that also. Just replace the helpdesk.txt file and Logo.bmp file in the custom folder in the downloaded packagewith your helpdesk.txt and logo.bmp files from your SC application and then run create.bat. This will create a server identical to SC that will work in PCHelpware. The created server file will be in the server folder in the downloaded package.

Goto to PieriPC.net Click on Get Started to see an example in action.

Step by Step for Direct mode (no repeater) and orginal configuration (no SC style multiple connection options) at:

www.writeonpoint.com/uvnc/pchwinstre.pdf
or
www.writeonpoint.com/uvnc/pchwinstr.htm

Hope this helps

Good Luck
