UVNC SC as a WebApp?

Post by sully127 »

I'm sure it has been asked a billion times (though I can't find a thread on it), but is anyone aware of or working on a way to have UVNC SC run as a java app or an ASP page?

I'd think that there has to be a way.

When you make a custom .exe to send to users to request support (connect to a listener), what does that exe really contain?

I would think that there would be a way to present users with a website in which they can select the name of the tech they'd like to connect to and choose Connect. Basically, the .exe would run from a web page.

Any ideas, insight, or input? I love SC, but it would be so much cooler to eliminate the need for the .exe.

suddenly the only thing I think about is that I click on a link and someone else is in control of my pc....

But thats just me....

So not a good idea as far as Im concerned even with the best of intentions... like they say "-the road to hell is paved with good intentions..."

I'd like to see this as well. We'd like a way from our secured support website to launch UltraVNC SC automatically for the users when they click on a link.

Ideally, it would launch, allow access and then delete the actual downloaded exe. This will allow us to somewhat control access to the UVNC SC executable.

Otherwise, staff will become confused and think they can launch SC EXE whenever they want to. :D

It's not a major security risk because it's on our secure website and only for logged in staff use. Plus the EXE will be hard coded to our IP addresses for remote control.
