Black screen when connected to remote computer

I am using Ultr@VNC viewer from my XP pro box to a
Windows 98 box running the Ultr@VNC Server.

I used to be able to connect to it, now when I connect it just shows my pointer and a total black screen, the person on the other end has said that they can see me move the mouse, but at my end it is totally black.

I had them disable all startup items but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

No, this has nothing to do with Remote Desktop running. I'm connecting to a Win 98 Box that is running the UltaVNC Server.
Win 98 does not have Remote Destop like XP.

They are running PC Anywhere on it, but that server is not running at the same time as UltraVnc. I'm at a loss here.
