trying to connect a unix box to a windows box and vice versa. Can the 2 programs talk to each other or is there another solution and UltraVNC does not have a unix server/ client

They share the same protocol, so there's no interoperability problem.

The only limitation is that you cannot enable mslogon in Ultravnc server and then use a realvnc viewer since it does not support the username/password combination.
But you can use the Java ultravnc viewer on Unix to connect to a ultravnc server with mslogon enabled (see [topic=697][/topic]).

I can run VNC server on my PC and client on UNIX, but don't seem to get the option of running the server on UNIX, any help greatly appreciated!
