2 Sessions of server running on the same computer?

Post by jdamian »

this is what I want.

I would like some way so that a remote computer is connected to by about 5 people.

only 1 person should have keyboard and mouse control. All others in view only mode.

Is there a way to do it with just one instance of server since at this point, we cant run two servers on the same machine?

I'm not quite sure, but theres the 'view only' option in the configurations menu, so if you could force that it should be ok. Look around here, it might have been talked about before. I believe people that used nvc to show students whats what use vnc like that.
using latest code.... always... except when im not.

there is a view only option, but it does that for EVERYONE connected. What I want is for 1 person to have permission to use mouse and keyboard and everyone else to view only.

I have a somewhat work around done

I use 1 copy of WinVNC and 1 copy of UltraVNC

I run WinVNC in service mode and UltraVNC in standard mode and that seems to work
