Frequent disconnects, sometimes after only the 1st draw

I recently began using UVNC SC to control some of our clients computers when they are having things like email problems or cant perform a task- Saves me a trip, and I can get the job done imemdiatly for them.

I made a low-end PC strictly to act as a VNC server, and set up port forwarding to it on ports 5500 and 3391 (for RDC) from my RVS400 router.

Problem 1: The UVNC SC app frequently disconnects, and sometimes after just seconds. Almost always on cleints computers, but never here on LAN.

Problem 2: Nomatter what I set the compression to on the viewer, it always seems to be stuck in no-compression mode (full color, I guess).

Can anybody hint me as to what I might be doing wrong?

I am also experiencing disconnects after getting a connection and viewing one of my client's screen.

I am able to connect with one client and stay connected for long period of time (we both have dialup) without any issue, but with another client (with xp and dsl, and me with vista and dialup) we connect, I see their screen briefly and then it disconnects. I had the same client try the same routine with their xp and dialup and had the same problem.

Not sure what the problem is where I have no connection problems with one client and connection issues with another. thanks in advance for any assistance.

I had the same trouble until I switched the viewer. I tried switchung to real VNC viewer and my connections are solid now. I still use UVNC sc on the remote side.
