Connection lost w/o error, using repeater, WinXP & Win98
I succesfully connected to my mother's computer twice using the uvnc repeater. Each time, however, we lost the connection after about 10 min. There was no error msg - the green "traffic" indicator went black, her screen was still visible on my screen but I could no longer do any work on her computer. Her keyboard was frozen and she had to do a power-button reboot. I am using WinXP Pro on the viewer and she has Win98 on the server. Am I doing something wrong? How do I prevent this?
Re: Connection lost w/o error, using repeater, WinXP & W
I have a good record of remote support of Win98 client with PHW, but I used to use direct connection.
Since you can have a connection as long as 10 minutes, I do believe you have all setup properly done. Can you try the direct connection? It should always be the best choice.
But if your network condition forced you to use a public repeater, you may try to use another repeater to see if any improvement. (repeater01.ultravnc.info or vserver.homeftp.org)
