Generally, I love PCHelpware. It is very solid, but the CPU utilization is a bit much. It really kills the controlled PC. It is great for simple menu negotiabtion, but makes running AV scans or Malware scans very slow.
Once a client connects, I do not like to disconnect. However, the impact of being connected slows all the scans.
I do not wish to define a feature for that will prohibit its acceptance, so I will describe a scenario that occurs and hope you can envision a solution.
You start a scan, defrag or other intensive activity. You wish to remain connected, but the screen refreshes are being sent through the encrypted channel, yet you are not entering data or moving the mouse. CPU utilization is high.
It would be nice to have the ability to cut the data stream down to a trickle when possible.
I could describe exactly how I would imagine it being done, but I will leave that open. I wish I was a programmer, but I am not.

Re: New Feature?
PcHelpWare does have this feature.ultravncjoek wrote:It would be nice to have the ability to cut the data stream down to a trickle when possible.
Once connected, you (at the viewer end) can open the System Menu and select a lower CPU consumption of the server. The default setting is "Max 60% CPU", and you can reduce it up to "Max 15% CPU"
See the sticky [topic=8719]a glossary of pchelpware_viewer release 1.0[/topic] for a reference.
