I'm using UVNC-SC and it works excellent with users that have static IP addresses on their LAN.
However, with users that have a dynamic IP within their LAN, usually behind a router, connection is sometimes working, sometimes not.
I'm using DynDNS service.
Maybe repetear would solve the problem?
I didn't see such a question on the form, or maybe I'm on the wrong track ?
Thanks for help.

SC and Static/Dynamic IP
Re: SC and Static/Dynamic IP
the main problem is the update of dyndns or/and the internal dyndns client of the router is not well compliance with the dynamic dns service provider. (software incompatibility)
the repeater could solve the issue only with public static ip.
otherwise the same problem come back related to dynamic ip not yet updated to all DNS service provider.

Re: SC and Static/Dynamic IP
forgot the workaround...
use the official dyndns client on the computer where vncviewer is listening.
this the best result if the router is not well compliant to the dyndns service provider and as well, there no firmware update for your router, internet gateway.

Re: SC and Static/Dynamic IP
Thanks for your reply.
Actually, my router has dynamic DNS configuration, that is setup for some previous project...
I've just made the port forwarding of the following ports: 5500, 5800, 5900, 0443. (TCP and UDP)
Expected that DynDNS will forward packets to my router, and router with using this ports to my PC.
At monday will try to configure this option for DynDNS and test the connection.
Maybe the connection will be more stable.
Thanks.

Re: SC and Static/Dynamic IP
Well, I set up Dynamic DNS on the router, via DynDNS, but not much luck, connection is unstable,
i.e. with some clients I can't make a connection.
As far as I understand, on their pc or router there is no need for special configuration (except firewall, of course).
Still, maybe forwarding VNC ports on their router could help ?
Maybe no-ip.com service is better ?
