Cannot connect

Post by Spk2000ar »

Hi,
I configured my helpdesk as this:

[HOST]
Desktop
-connect wizardinformatica.no-ip.info:5500 -noregistry

[HOST]
Notebook
-connect wizardnotebook.no-ip.info:5550 -noregistry

I forward as virtual server in my router, the static ip of both PC, desktop and notebook for both protocol in their port.
Both PCs are in the same LAN, same Workgroup, same SubNet.

I run vncviewer like this in each PC:
vncviewer -listen 5500
or
vncviewer -listen 5550

If i try to connect from the notebook with a SC client the desktop heard the call and connect without a problem.

Here is the problem!!!
When i try to connect from the desktop to the notebook... it seems all ok... it founds the laptop but get to the stage of connection... not connected... and in the notebook, the viewer hangs up, as he is trying to establish the connection but not showing remote desktop.

Trying with Client/Support sample... with static IP, works fine... trying with url... don't.

Has anyone any idea?
Thank you all!!!

2 majors issue with a hostname and dynamic dns service

- ip is not yet updated.
- the dynamic dns client is'nt properly set (hostname and user/password) or not run properly.

As i run No-IP as system service... this may happen... so, as another try before posting the topic was to stop that way of working... run it by hand.
It is not an issue of dynamic dns.
What is more, i try from another PC... a friend in Internet... and can connect with both, PC and Notebook... listen to different ports of same router IP, with different hostnames...
I seems just not working in the LAN in both way... PC can get control of notebook, but notebook can´t get control of PC...
