Possible will not work at all.

Most 3d games use hardware acceleraion.
Without driver the fps use to much cpu.
The mirror driver does not support hardware acceleration.

If you game support emulation mode it will work, but performance will not be that high and bandwidth !!!

Doesn't VNC basically just send an image of the whole screen or different parts of the screen? Maybe it doesn't, but if it did, wouldn't that be viable? 30 fps worth of jpgs of 3d video game would be just as fast as 30 fps worth of jpgs of an unmoving desktop. I am supposing, of course, that bandwidth is unlimited or at least very high.

Maybe I'm just lacking in the knowledge of the fundamentals of VNC?

well, im no expert, but
a) vnc only sends info about parts of the screen that have updated.
b) when you connect, hardware accelation goes poof and so your game would have to run in software mode.
c) might as well try it and see what happens.
d) watching full-screen video doesnt work too great, so i cant see a game working to any degree thats worth playing.
using latest code.... always... except when im not.

You can try the following:
- Disable Video Driver
- Enable FastPollFullScreen + Turbo Mode
- Have a big CPU ;)
- Use Ultra or Hextile encodings

But don't expect more than 10 FPS over a LAN, because the game also needs some CPU on the server so it has to share it with Ultra Fast Fullscreen Polling...
