Join the club! I can't get the DSM Plugin to work under Vista no matter what I do. It's useless. I'm waiting for the fix. Still it was worth the money for the commerical version, just wish the encryption would work under Vista.

I am using encryption on all connections.

In-house XP machines OK. Even had two remote Vista connections today. They did not have that problem (did have others - not disconnecting even though said it had, Stop sign not leaving desktop, not rebooting, empty 1Ctools folder on desktops, uac not re-enabled)

Was trying to troubleshoot these issues when I discovered problem #1.

Using 1.8.9.4 and .5

Sorry about the delay replying. I've been on vacation and working on a new GUI to build the customer modules for version 2.0.

Encryption works on all of the Vista machines here which is making it difficult to find a fix for those it doesn't. I'm working on makiing the AES plugin work with SC which should eliminate the problem.

I'll see what I can do about the uninstall problems.

DualDesk funding for OneClick was reduced in January and Vista development for OneClick had to be funded somehow. OneClick now pays for it's own development. A notice was posted for several months before the price increase.

Is there a new build coming out for the release of 1.0.4_RC17 or are you waiting for a newer build? One problem I get with Vista and XP machines that are running SC /One Click is if the user has multiple monitors and they drag something from one to the other the SC crashes....

thanks!

Hi, now that UVNC has released a stable 1.05 can we expect the highly anticipated release of OneClick 2.0?

Hi pgmoney,

The new verison 1.8.9.6 of the OneClick module doesn't make the Oneclick.exe file on the end of the guide.

Keep up the good work =)

Hi guys,

Very impressed with OneClick. We came across the product after battling with UltraVNC SC and Windows Vista issues for a few weeks.

We have purchased a commercial license and installed v1.8.9.6 and our testing seems to be going well (now that I realised we had to use the viewer that comes with OneClick).

My question is, how do I install the modified (OneClick) viewer onto our technician's PC's without having to install the whole OneClick package.

I don't want the technicians to start making customer modules or to have any extra clutter on their machines when all they require is the viewer.

Is there a 'Technician Install' package that I can download from somewhere or any instructions on how to do this. I couldn't find either.

Cheers,

Lukas.

There is now... version is the same, just added a compact install to the setup program and a listener shortcut creator. You can download it from the website.

The remote start works well. I use it on a couple of computers to access after hours.

Currently it does not work with Vista but v2.0 will.

How do I configure/use the remote start option? I can't find any instructions in the manual.

It will if you have the [DIRECT] tag/option enabled and there are no other prompts or disclaimers in the customer module.

Note: the non-commercial version has a disclaimer prompt which prevents it from being used with RemoteStart or ran unattended as a scheduled task.

I currently have UVNC SC setup and it works fine, except for Vista machines. I'm trying to configure OneClick to work with Vista but I'm failing miserably.

Sadly, I don't have the old helpdesk.txt that was used for our current sc.exe.

Here's what I do know:

Public IP = 100.100.100.100
Repeater IP = 192.168.4.2 (internal to us)
Repeater port = 5500 (advantig.org/testoneclick can connect to it)

In our .VNC file that we use to connect to other PCs has:
host=ID
port=5901
proxyhost=192.168.4.2
proxyport=5901
password=
...
UseDSMPlugin=1
UseProxy=1
DSMPlugin=MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm

I'm trying to create a customer module that will work with Vista and connect to my repeater. I'm not sure I understand the 'Repeater ID' that the Creator.exe asks for.

What settings should I use for the customer module? Any ideas?

I hate to ask again, any news on the ver. 2.0? Is there a beta we can try to help work out the bugs? I know programming takes time, so don't look at me as the guy who is trying to rush it, I just want to test it so the end result is a GREAT product like it has been.

OneClick 1.8.9.6: I'm having a problem getting the tools menu to show more than one tool. Testing with following Commands.txt file:

Code: Select all

[Window Title]
xyz Helpdesk
[Tools Website]
http://xyz.yyy
[Tool 1 Name]
Command Prompt
[Tool 1 Command]
cmd.exe
[Tool 2 Name]
Task Manager
[Tool 2 Command]
taskmgr.exe
Tool 1 appears on the menu, but Tool 2 (or any subsequent tool) does not.

OneClick version 1.8.9.7 is now available for download from:

http://www.advantig.com/oneclick

---------
Changes
---------

Version 1.8.9.7
---------------

- The icon used by the customer and technician web viewer exe modules
now use the icon1.ico file in the OneClick\SC Source folder.
The icon.dll file is no longer used and can be deleted.

- Changed the service mode install folder to C:\Program Files\1c1897

- Tried to fix the DSM encryption plugin not loading problem on some
Vista machines. Cannot duplicate the problem here. Need feedback
if you still experience it.

- Replaced the UltraVNC vncviewer.exe due to a possible security exploit.

Mmm. After months of silence, we now get a minor update which has merely cosmetic updates. Where is the promised version 2.0? Are we to assume this product is effectively dead now?
