Ultra VNC Server 1.2.0.3 is downgraded to 1.2.0.1

Post by dhivya.venkat »

Ultra VNC Server 1.2.0.3 is downgraded to 1.2.0.1 during the below scenario

- Installed Ultra VNC Server 1.2.0.1
-Upgraded Ultra VNC Server 1.2.0.1 to 1.2.0.3
-Installed Ultra VNC Viewer 1.2.0.1 (in the same machine in which the above operations are performed)

Observed:
Ultra VNC Server 1.2.0.3 is downgraded to 1.2.0.1

Previous version is not having this issue(1.1.9.6 to 1.2.0.1)

It seems like an issue and will it be fixed?

1.2.0.1 viewer is identical to the 1.2.0.3, update was only done to keep both in sync.
The installers are the same for 1.1.X and 1.2.X, the only thing that changed the last years is the version number.

The installer allow to seperate install the server/viewer you can install
-1.2.0.3 server only
-1.2.0.3 viewer only
- both
The default is the previous value used during installation of ultravnc 1.X

You need to select the option...else old value is used.
