General Question Regarding UltraVNC and MacOS

Post by dan_orion184 »

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently looking into using UtlraVNC to support external users. So far the SC has been working great but I also have to support some MacOS users. I know SingleClick is not a solution but I was wondering if there was relatively easy way to connect with Mac computers through the Java Viewer. Basically having the user type in an address and make him the server so I can connect on the other end and control their station.

I don't know if the repeater would allow me to do that or if there's other suggestions I could look into for the MacOS clients.

Thank You!

I don't use the Java functionality myself, but I'm pretty sure it's only applicable for the viewer side. Basically, you cannot use it to remote control a Mac, but the Mac can use Java to remotely control a Windows computer running uVNC.

Enter the IP address of the Mac running a VNC server into the Viewer.

Sorry for the confusing. The VNCServer would be on a windows machine. I "the windows user" would like to offer support to a person using a "MAC" via Chunk VNC.

The server needs to be running on the computer you want to view remotely. If you are trying to view the Mac, you need a VNC Server running on the Mac.
