PCHelpwareV2 - problem when installing

Hello,

I have got a problem when I wanted to install PCHelpWareV2Server. I always get the message "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as a part of the setup did not finish as expexted. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." This happens on computers with Windows 7 and with Vista.
It is true that when I tried to install PCHelpWareV2 the first time the installation was nearly completed - but the setup screen did not completely finish.
The icons "Server Settings PCHelpwareV2" and "PCHelpwareV2 Server" were created but do not work. There is the message "wrong parameters" when I wat to start these programs. Can I manually change something?

what files did you use for testing "download location" ?

Hello Rudi,

I am not sure what you mean "testing download Location". I started the standard file "PCHelpWareV2Server.msi" - then the error appeared immediatly.

tested this file

and

on my win7 x64 system and it installed proper

installer run
properties popup to set password
you close app
installer finish

It could be that it use some depended dll's and natural they exist on my pc as the bin was compiled on it.
Do get any specific error..

Does the folder contain exe the icons reffer to ?
"C:\Program Files (x86)\uvnc bvba\PCHelpWareV2Server\"

I just tried installing the PCHelpware V2 server from http://www.uvnc.eu/download/pchw2/PCHel ... Server.msi and have seen this issue. The viewer installs fine. This was on a 32-bit WinXP system. Is this a 64-bit only product? Is this the latest version of PCHelpware?

latest downloads are on the pchelpwarev2 page

It install in (x86) so exe should also be win32 ( long time ago the msi was created)
During setup some windows open that request input, it could be that you only see the icon as the window is hidden below another window.

The app doesn't require an install, just run settings.exe after unzip.

Zip with bins, no msi extraction needed.
