I'm using UVNC 1.1.9.3 downloaded from
http://www.uvnc.com/downloads/ultravnc/ ... -1190.html
Specifically I'm using the "bin zip x64 xp-win7 1190" ZIP on Windows 7 64-bit. I also downloaded and installed the mirror driver from
http://www.uvnc.com/downloads/mirror-dr ... loads.html
Both UVNC and the mirror driver work. The "Check the Mirror Driver" button in winvnc.exe reports success when a viewer is connected. The mirror driver makes things much faster.
I installed UVNC because it seemed fast and because a screen recorder was available. From the URL above (the 2nd one) I downloaded ScreenRecorder_Full.zip. It does create video files, but the files have corrupted video. The files play in both Windows Media Player and VLC, meaning that they are AVI files, but the video appears garbled.
Is there any combination of UVNC version + mirror driver version + screen recorder version + Windows version that's known to work?

Looks like it is a codec issue.
You need to use a codec that support your screen size.
640x480 is supported by almost all codec's, but for HD resolution you need xvid or divx.

Re: Has anyone gotten the screen recorder to work on any OS?
Thanks for the response.
I'm using the CamStudio Lossless codec because it's fast and captures the screen in full quality. (At the expense of requiring a lot of disk space.) Then I re-encode the AVI files to whatever output format I need.
That codec supports every screen resolution and bit depth that I've tried, including 1280x1024 at 32 BPP. The codec works correctly when recording in CamStudio and other screen recorders that use VfW codecs. (Unfortunately those other screen recorders suffer from poor performance, resulting in low-FPS videos.)

Re: Has anyone gotten the screen recorder to work on any OS?
OK, i didn't red your full info.
X64:
The screenrecorder app is X86.
You can not mix a x86 app with a x64 driver
Screenrecoder: ( X86)
The screenrecoder use the mirror driver that you download on the same page
Ultravnc Screenrecorder bin
Ultravnc ScreenRecorder Video Driver <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
This is NOT the mv2 mirror driver but the older "Winvnc video hook driver"
This wil not work on X64 as driver is X86
I need to make time for an update if the program is still used... i didn't got any response for a long time.
Are more people intersted in an update !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Has anyone gotten the screen recorder to work on any OS?
Update screenrecoder for win7 x86 and X64 with the standard mirror driver from 1.1.X builds ( mv2 mirror driver)
http://www.uvnc.eu/1193/screenrecorder.zip
Only Tested: win7 X64 with X64 screenrecoder.
Please preovide some feedback so it can be moved to a proper download section.

Re: Has anyone gotten the screen recorder to work on any OS?
Cool, thanks! I'll test it ASAP.
Is the most up-to-date source code for the screenrecorder available? I have the source code already from http://www.uvnc.com/downloads/mirror-dr ... loads.html (from screenrecorder_MD.zip which is linked as "ScreenRecorder_Full") so it would be nice to see what has changed.

Damm, you are correct.
I had forgotten that i already converted it....so it did it for a second time
You can use the screenrecorder_MD source it was almost the same.

Okay, I tested http://www.uvnc.eu/1193/screenrecorder.zip and it works fine on Windows 7 x64 using the mirror driver. Thanks!
One question:
In "Video Options", it only lists 2 codecs:
Do you know why the Video Options doesn't list all codecs installed on my system?

Re: Has anyone gotten the screen recorder to work on any OS?
You need x64 codecs.
A X64 app only can use X64 codecs.
Tested:
X86 screenrecorder seems to work with the X64 driver.
In that case you have all codecs. ( tested with the screenrecoder_MD src)
