DSM Plugin Configuration

Post by udi »

Hi,
I´m new to (ultra)vnc.
Question:
As Adam Welling mentions on his site:
"Installation and Setup

Download the SecureVNCPlugin.dsm and ensure your viewer and server applications are set to use it.

That is all!"
is that really all? I mean: Is the connection secured by these few steps or do I have to adjust more? If yes, what an how? :D
Thanks a lot
Udi

Yes, just copy the dsm file in the same folder as the server and viewer.
Then select the server/viewer options to use the plugin.

You can configure the plugin ( server options) but even without configuring the encryption is active.
configure to activate special encryption options
*replace vnc passwd ( 8chars) by a longer
*create a predefined key, viewer need a key copy to be able to connect
*select the encryption bits
