UltraVNC Server [1.1.8.0] Won't remember the passwords

I just updated to the latest version of UltraVNC and it's not remembering the passwords I set for it.
It doesn't care if it's ADMIN or VIEWING; it doesn't save it.

The UltraVNC server is running on an older Windows Vista 64-bit operating system with 4Gb of mem. The account I used to install the software was under an admin account [full rights].

I uninstalled the previous version, rebooted, and then installed the new version [not silent server]; just server and viewer.
When it didn't save the passwords after a reboot, I entered them again, using APPLY and then OK.
When I rebooted again, same issue; passwords were wrong again, so I reset the passwords, APPLY and OK. Then I killed the UltraVNC server and then restarted it [not the PC]. When the server came back up, I tried logging in, password was incorrect still.

I've already tried reinstalling the software again [total of 3x] with no success.

Do I need to wipe out a reg entry or something or delete a config file or something to fix this issue?

The password is saved in a file "ultravnc.ini" located in the same folder as winvnc.exe ( program files/uvnv bvba/ultravnc)
All settings are in this file, removing file = factory default and passwd is cleaned.

Sometimes winvnc doesn't have permission to save to this file.
*runas admin doesn't work
*desktop user is a domain user and winvncv is running as service
*desktop user doesn't have permission to write to this file
If settings can't be changed -> temp changed in memory

Workaround
*use uvnc_settings.exe: this is an ultravnc.ini editor and allow to set all options and password
( winvncv need to be restarted before changed take effect)
