Can someone help me out here

Post by Karmashock »

Doubtless if I read through a half dozen threads and cross referenced everything that has happened over the last couple years I could answer this question for myself.

But I'd really appreciate it if someone that already has the answer could point me in the right direction.

I've used UltraVNC SC for years and it works a treat on XP. But it's very unreliable on Vista/Windows 7 etc.

I've seen various threads that seem to touch on the issue but I'd like to know what the best method is for making Ultra VNC SC compatible and reliable with these newer operating systems.

My issue with SC on Vista and 7 is that it will randomly lock up every 20-40 seconds, be slow, or outright disconnect with some frequency. It's not useable.

I'm happy to follow detailed instructions. I just don't want to follow them only to find that those instructions won't actually fix the problem or are outdated. What is the best and most current means of addressing this issue?

Thank you for your time.
