Setting Display Bug (Unable to resolve geom across multmon)

Post by JohnMcGlaughlin »

After so very many years with another tight sw I have finally moved to Ultra and am finally well pleased with the state of today's interface; HOWEVER, I have run into an issue at home when attempting to vpn to work.

At work I use a portrait 1200x1600 display for coding.

When at home I have a 3x2 bank of 6 2048x1156

Initially when using the SW the display would size to the 1156 height.
Manually resizing to the proper 1600 height across 2 monitors leaves the bottom 444 pixels not accessible by client engine.

I started playing with the Directx feature and am able to regain full Display capabilities with the following procedure.

(NOTE: after using this process the display will always initialize with a full display in 67% auto viewer scale.)

Initial connections option at invocation auto set to 67% (Or whatever the % height of the target monitor)
set Viewer Scale to 100% ok settings
manually resize the viewer display to max boundaries
( this is a nice feature you have that it stops at the host geometry DO NOT CHANGE THIS)
At this point the bottom of the viewer in not accessible by the client viewer

enable Directx ok the settings

The host geometry is remapped into the default accessible space of the client viewer, still the bottom of the viewer display is not accessible.

opening settings at this point refocuses the map to the correct geometry. I disable Directx so that the viewer remains locked to the host geometry and font.
