What's mean for password required

Post by monday8848 »

Hi: Does somebody tell me what's mean for password required ? Open UltraVNC setting, then click Security menu, You can find Password Required under advanced tab. I don't know, Whether I need checked/unchecked this check box.
BTW, I have another question need confirm. I search forum, And administrator tell us, Just copy SCHOOK.dll to Ultravnc installation folder. VNC server will automatic use it in Win7 system. Does it right? Or how to make vnc server use it in win7 system, I don't install mirror drive. and checked use system hookdll. thanks.

Default, vnc does not connections with a "" password.
In some cases, like when you use a encryption pre defined key , you possible want to run without a password.
When password is set to not required, empty passwd string is allowed.

Just copy it in the folder. Winvnc try to load vnchook and schook. Schook take priority over the vnchook.
Both use a different method to pass to winvnc about the changed screen locations to winvnc.
