Should it be possible to use both Server and Viewer on same port for the ChunkVNC?
It should be great if I could set 443 since that is a port that always is open in a firewall for outbound connections.
I have used that "Enable proxy" for port 443 a couple years ago with some other package I compiled, so I know it´s possible.
But I have done a couple of tries on this ChunkVNC without success.
Anyone who can say yes or no for the above need?

Both Server & Viewer on 443 port possible??
Re: Both Server & Viewer on 443 port possible??
OK, so I found "Yes" in the FAQ. But still not clear how to implement.
I have done the "Do not enable the repeaters SSL(443) option, only set the server listening port." (quoted from FAQ)
I compiled and set port 443 on both Server and Viewer.
Afterword I run InstantSupport.exe and that connects to 443 (PERFEKT!.
...but then I run the ChunkViewer.exe.. and that only says "Repeater connection failed!"
So .. is the http proxy working or not?

Re: Both Server & Viewer on 443 port possible??
OK, got past that problem when I recompiled once more (strange, but it gets stranger!!)
Now both server & viewer connects to 443.
But after entering the random code (that InstantSupport.exe generates) into the Viewer app it only pops up the "VNC Viewer Status" window...and noting connects (usually here you would get the password prompt).
AND.. When I look at the values in the Status window I can see the problem. The first row (VNC Server) says "ID". The second row "Port" says "428203" ???!! ... this row should say "443" and the first row would say "428203" (ID).
...so no wonder it doesn't work.
Anyone been in the same place that I am?

Re: Both Server & Viewer on 443 port possible??
I don't know what FAQ you were reading but the ChunkVNC FAQ doesn't state any of this....
The way that ChunkVNC is designed does not support the Viewer and Server on the same port.
