GUI Response for Server 2008 R2 very slow

Post by vmguru »

Every 2008 R2 server I load ultravnc onto seems to suffer the slow gui responsiveness when remote controlling. I have tried all sorts of different options and configurations but I can't find anything that seems to fix this issue. I have this on spam new physical servers occurring. I have tried having Poll Full Screen (Ultra Fast) enabled and disabled, as well as the Poll Foreground Window, yet still no dice. I have searched the forum and haven't found a solution as yet. I have tried tight vnc and same issue, however tested with Real vnc and all seems OK, except I prefer not to use that one, would like to get UltraVNC working nice and smooth as it should. I have also tested this on windows 7 and results have been good. FYI this is in a LAN environment and not over a slow internet connection thus I don't believe it to be a connectivity or bandwidth issue.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Any suggestions and pointers would be great

Many thanks in advanced of course :)
