Any way to figure out the password?

Post by rcooke »

:oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:

<sigh>

Somehow I have managed to loose the record of the password used when I compiled Chunk. Is it stored anyplace in either file set or a log I can dig it out of?

I don't mind recompiling, but I have already distributed the client side to a few people and it would be annoying (and embarrassing) to have to replace them all.

Thanks in Advance!

Depends on the version of ChunkVNC but the most likely answer is no, you cannot recover it with any means that I'm aware of.

Oh Noooooooo!

Mr Bill!!!

I was hoping it got recorded someplace in plaintext, or even as a hash when the compiler was run.

I think I know what machine I built it on.....

It's recorded in the ultravnc.ini file but it's hashed with SecureVNC so your guess is as good as mine for decoding it. :(

You just brought back some memories, OHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO Mr Bill!!! lol I used to have a tape of him getting mangled in different ways. :)

The hash doesn't help you if you don't know password.
