Hi,
We've observed a crash during some testing of UltraVNC (viewer) with a local network device (server):
1. Connect to the device from UltraVNC. We are using the default VNC port and specifying an IP address to identify the server. Communication works fine and the screen shows correctly and can be remotely operated through UltraVNC.
2. Unplug the power to the server device.
3. Wait 60 seconds with everything idle.
4. Minimize the UltraVNC window to the Windows XP/7 task bar.
5. Restore the UltraVNC window from the taskbar. The crash occurs here.
The crash is 100% repeatable in 1.0.9.6.1 as downloaded from the Web site. I haven't had a chance to track down the source of the problem and other demands will probably delay that; I hope that you can duplicate it.
Paul T.

Crash when restored while network down
Re: Crash when restored while network down
Here are the command-line parameters passed to vncviewer.exe:
192.168.148.201::5900 /autoreconnect 60 /reconnectcounter 10000
It appears to me that, as a result of the connection time out, vncviewer may be trying to display the status window (which it should not, since it's supposed to reconnect, eventually).

Is there a schedule for release of a new version including this fix?
