Hi Guys
I've got ChunkVNC up and running on my local lan, but the viewer quality is pretty poor, I've changed the Quality setting in Viewer\Bin\chunkviewer.ini, but it appears to have no impact. Am I doing this wrong? or can I change the setting some other way?
Thanks

ChunkVNC - Viewer Quality setting
Re: ChunkVNC - Viewer Quality setting
The ini setting is for the UltraVNC Viewer quick options.
1: Auto
2: LAN
3: Medium
4: Modem
5: Slow
7: Ultra
Is it that the image quality is poor or is it that it feels sluggish?

Re: ChunkVNC - Viewer Quality setting
Hi
It was sluggish and the image quality poor... but its not a bug or anything, turns out Auto-scale was causing it, I should have realised that, but its been so long since I used VNC.
Completely unrelated question, is there a Linux based Viewer that will work with Chuck? We've 1 or 2 techies/developers who use Ubuntu as their primary desktop.
Thanks for you help

Re: ChunkVNC - Viewer Quality setting
Hi
Cheers for the help, seems this was actually caused by auto-scaling.. I should of figured that sooner.
On another note, is there a Linux VNC Viewer that will work with Chunk? We have 1 or 2 techies/developers who use Unbuntu and it would be useful if they could use this aswell.

No need to double post, kelv, there's a moderation queue for new users.
There is anecdotal evidence that Karl Runge's x11vnc may work as a server and that his SSVNC may work as a viewer, but I don't know for sure that anyone's really gotten it working. Not very many VNC programs support the repeaters -- please see my "All VNC Repeaters" thread for some details. There are hacks and workarounds (including shadowfax's repeater project) that may do what you want. See http://forum.ultravnc.info/viewtopic.php?t=27489
