Win 7 question re UltraVNC

Post by mediaman09 »

Background
Been using UltraVNC for a long time. Currently on 1.0.9.6.1 (64bit)
I have 5 machines- two on WIn7 64BIT ; three on XP. All on the same home network
I recently rebuilt Win 7 #2.. so I suspect I have something not quite right there.

Issue
From Win 7 # 1, I can control all the XP's, but I cant connect to Win 7 #2 (recently rebuilt)
From Win 7 # 2 (recently rebuilt), I can control all the XP's, but I cant connect to Win 7 #1

Steps to Date
I verified all the network stuff - All PC's can see each others drives
I reintalled, UltraVNC on both Win 7 machines, and I see it makes all the required firewall exceptions.

Questions
What UltraVNC settings should I be looking to change?
What Win 7 settings should I be looking to change?

Have you checked that the Windows firewall has the viewer port open on your 7 machines? (default 5900)
