I found this feature in another remote desktop software package a long time ago but its name escapes my memory. What it does is not apply JPEG to text areas but applies it everywhere else. In this way, the ClearType and FreeType sub-pixel font rendering pixels are undisturbed by JPEG. At the present time, JPEG blurries up the fonts in Tight and Ultra/Ultra2 encodings and I'd like to see how we can avoid that symptom while still enjoying the benefits of high-speed turbo JPEG encoding on the rest of the screen.
