Hi,
when I try to connect from a 32bit viewer to a 64bit server with SecureVNC, all I get is a gray window instead of the desktop. Moving the mouse in the gray does not move the mouse on the server. Status window shows the connection as accepted and the current encryption. Messing with file transfer and chat cause viewer to lock-up. Firewall and AV is off on both machines.
Same setup in 1.0.9.5 works perfectly.
Any clue on what might be happening?

32bit->64bit w/SecureVNC Problem
Re: 32bit->64bit w/SecureVNC Problem
You say 1.0.9.5 worked flawlessly. What are you using now? On viewer? on server? Windows what? XP/2k3/2k8/Vista/7?
1.0.9.6.1 WinXP SP3 32-bit -> 1.0.9.6.1 WinXP SP2 64-bit worked fine over here, when I still used it.

Re: 32bit->64bit w/SecureVNC Problem
I can not connect to the server version 1,0,9,6,1 SecureVNCPlugin.dsm (32-bit windows SP2)
UltraVNC Viewer 1,0,9,6,1 SecureVNCPlugin.dsm (64-bit server 2003)
what's the problem?

Re: 32bit->64bit w/SecureVNC Problem
I went through a number of changes to make this thing work, here's what I did. I am using x64 viewer (Vista) to talk to x86 (XP) and x64 (W7) using the secure VNCPlugin. Download and install the correct verion on the server first.
Grey screen from the server, I uncheck the System HookDLL and Video Hook Driver on the server Properties page....I've never had these work for me and the systems work fine (XP, Vista and W7) and fast enough over both internal LAN and external internet connections.
SecureVNCPlugin lots of trial and error on this one, but I finally got it working. Generate the *_Server_ClientAuth.pubkey & the *_Viewer_ClientAuth.pkey from the server you want to connect to. Copy the *_Viewer_ClientAuth.pkey to the viewer machine. Make sure you to set the PassPharase before generating the keys (if you want to use this method). Stop the service on the server, restart it.
On the Viewer side drop the .pkey into the UltraVNC folder as one of it's files. Launch the viewer, check the Use DSMPlugin => SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm (I use a Viewer from x64). Make sure the IP address and port are defined in the window ie (192.1.168.100::5190). If everything is working you should get the VNC challenge password window. Type in your passphrase and enter. If all things work, you should get a temp grey screen followed by the server window. I have checked Remove Aero and I let the desktop come through and it's working fine for me.
I have since gone back and removed the passphrase without regenerating the keys, it defaults to the original password on uVNC. I probably generated the keys 20 times before I found something that works. Even then the server hangs once in a while, just stop the service and or reload it.
I hope this helps someone, it took me a couple of days to get all working once I upgraded from 1.08 to 1.09.6.1
