I recently deployed UltraVNC server to about 200 of our employee machines. After a couple days employees started to complaining about thier computers being very slow. When I unistall VNC from the machine the computer does in deed go back to running fine again. I let this through our anti-virus software so i'm not sure what else to do. It also doesn't seem to be happening to everyones machine (but a good chunk of them). We really love the software and would like to find out why this is happening instead of just not using it anymore. Any advice would be great!

ComputerS crawling after UltraVNC install
Re: ComputerS crawling after UltraVNC install
On one or more of the problem machines, run Task Manager to see if UltraVNC itself, or a different process, is the one chewing up the CPU.
And you might want to try it with the AV turned completely off, just in case some of its tendrils are still getting in the way.
For what it's worth, system slowdown is NOT a common issue reported with VNC being resident (especially when no connection is active).

the system processes are pretty much sitting at idle. I will take Vipre completely off the machine and see if that clears it up.
